youth opportunities

Welcome to the Media Center’s webpage for youth! We’ve got a lot of new opportunities for the 2012-2013 school year, so scan through them all to find your favorites. School year programming is free! For some, all you have to do is show up. For others, you need to sign up or apply ahead of time.

Here at the Media Center, we believe that youth—yes, you—are capable of amazing things. All of our youth opportunities focus on developing leadership and media literacy. A young media-literate leader asks essential questions, conducts thorough research, produces media responsibly, and consumes media with honed awareness.

We believe you can create powerful change in your communities through critical thinking, leadership, and creative action. What mark will you leave on the world?
