Approval of Minutes:

Approval of minutes of Historic Resources Board meeting of January 6, 2008

Unfinished Business:

1. 1303 Waverley Street [08PLN-00007]: Application by Judith Mattingly, Architect for Historic Resources Board review and recommendation regarding plans for the proposed demolition, based on unrepairability, of a 442 square-foot Mission Revival garage that is included in the designation of a property that is listed on the City of Palo Alto's Historic Inventory in Category 4, and is located in the Professorville Historic District and in the R-1(10,000) zone district. The historic garage would be replaced in the same location by a new garage of the same size and similar design.




B. STUDY SESSION/STATUS REPORTS ON HISTORIC PROJECTS/BOARD ITEMS/ADJOURNMENT

Study Session:

2. 345 Lincoln Avenue [07PLN-00253]: Study session at the request of Cody Anderson Wasney Architects regarding revised plans for proposed modifications and a new addition to the Charles Benjamin Wing House (1893) and preservation and restoration of the adjoining water tower (1894) wich are listed on the City's Historic Inventory in Category 2, and are located in the Professorville National Register Historic District and in the R-1(10,000) zone district. The proposed project includes (a) removal of the existing rear additions of the house, (b) a new gable-roof rear addition using materials similar those of the historic house, and (c) provision of wood double-hung windows, similar to those in historic photographs, at the top of the water tower in existing window openings. The project is subject to the City's Individual Review Process and the Historic Preservation provisions of the California Enviornmental Quality Act (CEQA).
